I’m thrilled to share my recent experience at the Division of Career Development and Transition conference in Reno, NV from October 18th to 21st, 2023. This incredible event brought together over 800 dedicated professionals and stakeholders in the field of Special Education IEP Transition Planning. It was a hub of inspiration, collaboration, and a platform to explore new offerings and research in the field of Special Education Transition Services and to discuss the exciting partnership between SDES – Functional Academics and MyKey Plans – My Transition Portfolio.

Our journey together is a story of dedication and passion as teachers. We’ve come together to meet the diverse needs of students from Mild/Moderate to Moderate/Severe disabilities.

A Powerful Collaboration

The synergy between MyKey Plans and SDES is nothing short of extraordinary. It’s about bringing together two essential components of a student’s journey towards independence and post-school success: a comprehensive functional academics curriculum to build skills plus in-depth post-school planning.

The partnership with MyKey Plans enhances the transition planning process for students, making their journey even more meaningful.
